About me
Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m a mum of 3 and a midwife passionate about supporting and empowering families all over Worcestershire. I have over 14 years of professional experience as a midwife and over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to expand my offering to new and expecting parents as a certified sling consultant, antenatal and postnatal teacher and starting solids facilitator. I now specialise in helping families of all shapes and sizes use babywearing to help them through the trickiest parts of parenting, such as sleep issues and fussiness.

For over 2 years, I have also worked with families teaching antenatal and postnatal courses through The Village Midwife, during which we focus on areas including infant feeding, infant sleep, first-aid, emotional wellbeing (for parent and baby), babywearing and postnatal recovery. While teaching these courses, I have seen first-hand how babywearing using slings and carriers has a significant physical and emotional benefit for both baby and caregiver.

I believe that all parents everywhere can experience these benefits for themselves through babywearing and that’s why I created The Carrying Midwife to give tailored advice and support to families. My consultancy services include 1-2-1 consultancies, sling libraries and group workshops so no matter your experience or requirements, you will be able to find a service that suits you and your little one.
