About The Carrying Midwife

I am a sling consultant, community midwife, antenatal and postnatal teacher and starting solids facilitator based in Worcestershire. I have 12 years of midwifery experience and am passionate about empowering families, enabling them to have the best possible experience throughout pregnancy, childbirth and in their new roles as parents!

Baby wearing using slings and carriers has many emotional and physical benefits for both baby and care giver. My service as a sling consultant aims to give you the tools to confidently, safely and comfortably carry your baby.

Worcester Sling Library

Come along to the Worcester Sling Library to explore and borrow slings for your little ones! Run by local midwife and sling consultant.

Suitable from birth.
Fit check on your own carrier.
Try different carrying positions.
Try a variety of carriers/slings.
Opportunity to hire a carrier of your choice.
Sessions are free, however, donations are welcome.
Sling hire is £5 per week or £15 for 4 weeks.
15 to 20 minute session.
Sessions must be pre-booked.

One to one sessions

Tailored to your needs

I offer one to one sessions from the comfort of your home or from my purpose built studio in WR3 Worcester. Sessions are bespoke to your needs and range from a 30 minute fit check on a specific carrier to a 1.5 hour session learning either fourth trimester/newborn carrying, carrying your older child including hip and back carrying or a session tailored to the age of your child/ a specific carrier! All sessions include safety aspects and the opportunity to try carriers. Message me directly to book!
